fantastic sound work!!!
i'm sure everyone on ng has seen this type of animation before. sure the graphics were good, but the sound is what made this. absolutely everything had a really accurate sound effect, and some of them were funny. i can definitely tell you put a ton of work into this, good job!
Thanks! Glad my efforts digging out hundreds of sound effects wasn't in vain, hehe. I did use a few that everyone uses, but I tried to use original sounds and recorded a few of my own (the guy at the very end is me, lol)
stupid AIM
I love whole "accidentally typing a whole paragraph of the paper into a new AIM window" gag. That is SO annoying, and one of the sole reasons I switched to MSN. ;) Great job on this!
heh, even after it has happened a bazillion times, and even made a cartoon that includes the problem, i STILL use aim.

not sure why people would say these "aren't cool" anymore. everyone has been very well done so far. it's neat to get insight into the lives of artists here, and this was no exception. great animation!

the pictures are alright...
but there was barely any animation in this. it was practically just pictures with zooming in and out. i suppose some of the transitions were nice, but to me it just felt like a bunch of re-drawn characters smashed together in a hasty "tribute" type toon set to over-dramatic music. would have been nice if each character was actually animated, and possibly interacted between the scenes. i dunno... good luck on the next one.

very intriguing and original story. i had an idea where it was going, but the end was definitely unexpected. well done.
i can tell a lot of work went into this
definitely a good idea, and well animated. just a few points for improvement though...
- it did tend to drag on a bit... definitely not "pirates on crack" like the song mentioned
- the main thing i think that is hindering this from a 4+ score is the sound quality. it almost felt like i was watching the animation while listening to someone play the audio on a stereo across the room. if the audio was boosted a bit i think the whole toon would be more engaging.
- the game goes for the music. it sounds like you created the music, so i can understand it not being perfect, but had it been more full (more instruments), that would added some quality as well
all-in-all good stuff, but with plenty of polish room. i gave it a 4. :)
Thanks for the feedback. As many of the other reviews have also noted the music as sounding "distant," I will be updating the video within the week. As a result the update may leave the video with some white noise... but at least you'll be able to hear it better.

it's very tought to include your hand in stop-go animation and make it look smooth. you did a fantastic job of doing just that. everything was buttery smooth. great job!
